Robert Englund dresses in black, stands in front of spooky fog to give us our first look at True Terror

Months ago we got news that Robert Englund would be doing some cheesy ripped-from-the-headlines non-fiction show for the Travel Channel–er Trvl Channel–whatever they’re calling themselves. Anyway, today we’re getting our first look at said show, and it’s glorious.

When I first reported the story, I wondered aloud if his series would have reenactments, and boy am I pleased as punch to announce that it does! They look surprisingly violent, too. I figured this would be aimed toward a younger audience, but this seems a shade more adult. The bargain basement CGI and community theater acting are exactly what I expected, though, and I wouldn’t have it any other way.

All this played to the whispery gravel of Robert Englund’s voice creates a hammy world I need to live in. I downloaded the Trvl Channel GO app to see if I could access such spooky sights for free, but alas it requires a cable subscription. I guess this trailer will have to be enough for me.

For those with cable, however, Robert Englund’s True Terror will scare the crap out of your TV screens on March 18, 2020 at 10:00 PM ET/9:00 PM CT.
