Satan’s about to get Shat on in trailer for Devil’s Revenge

The Shat-man himself is returning to glorious B-movie territory with this trailer for Devil’s Revenge, and in a surprise twist it looks like he’ll be in more than one or two minutes of the film!

A usual heartbreak for a connoisseur of low-budget horror such as myself is being enticed by whatever famous dude or dame has decided to debase themselves with some VOD schlock only to see them flit across the set for a handful of scenes or maybe not even be in the same room as anyone else for the entire movie. It can be a rough path I’ve chosen.

Devil’s Revenge, however, looks to buck this trend. William Shatner, a man who’s not really so much debasing himself as returning to his roots, gives the impression at first that he might only be in one scene to growl that the devil needs to be made dead–but then he breaks out a grenade launcher, and all the little people in my head shout, “Hell yeah!”

What side of the fun/boring schlock fence will this fall on, I’m not sure. The idea of the devil messing with the main dude’s head seems interesting, and the whole setup looks like if your friend’s heavy metal band decided to make a The Descent-themed music video, which I’m down for. Also, check out the poster below. It’s has plenty of that low-budget charm.

Devil’s Revenge will hit VOD on October 1, 2019 with a Blu-ray/DVD release on October 22.
