Pulling a reverse-Don’t Breathe–a film which made me think being blind was supposed to morph you into a super-human killing machine that can track people by the smell of their shoes–we have Blindsided, a film where being blind is actually not an asset.
I like the helpless feeling of this. Hearkening back to the excellent Wait Until Dark, we have a young woman recently blinded and left alone with her two best friends for the weekend. Some dude shows up, though, claiming to be a protege of her father’s. Soon, everything goes south, and you’d better believe this blind lady has to fight for her life.
Blindsided will hit DVD and VOD on August 13, 2019.
