The Babysitter trailer lands with McG spewing blood on the screen

Netflix has been on a bit of a roll releasing genre subverting films. Just last month they released the comedy Little Evil, that turned out to be more of a twist on the “evil child” trope than a straight up parody. Now we’ve got McG’s new film The Babysitter, which takes the home invasion scenario and flips it on its head. Instead of the teen stereotypes being slaughtered one by one they’re the killers. It looks like it could be fun judging from the trailer above.

There’s also plenty of homage to the likes of Fast Times at Ridgemont High in there, but my guess is this will play a bit more comedic than horror. That’s fine and all, but it probably means we won’t get a genre defining film like You’re Next
