The Crow is getting a 4K remaster for its 30th anniversary

2024 is shaping up to be a huge year for 4K UHD Blu-Ray releases. Paramount Pictures has announced today that The Crow will be getting a 4K release on May 7, 2024. Commemorating the 30th anniversary of the film and the tragic passing of its star Brandon Lee, buyers will be able to grab the disc in either standard or steelbook packaging. I’m very partial to steelbooks, so I’m already eyeing that.

There is currently no mention of the special features that will be available for this release. It will be interesting to see if the longer Japanese cut of the film is available. The previous Blu-Ray release of The Crow featured a shorter version with tweaked cropping that had a substantial impact on the film’s visual identity. This 4K release is a chance to right that wrong and give fans the definitive home video experience.
