Marvel’s The Punisher: Season 2 | Date Announcement [HD] | Netflix

Despite season 2 of The Punisher releasing quite soon 18 on Netflix, the streaming company has barely revealed anything about the thirteen episodes to come. A day after some teaser GIFs emerged on Twitter, Netflix released a fairly short trailer for The Punisher that didn’t really have actual footage from the show.

To summarize, this minute-long teaser features 360-degree shots of Frank Castle (Jon Bernthal) and Billy “Jigsaw” Russo (Ben Barnes) acting super angry and stressed out. I suppose not so much has changed since the last time we saw these characters. “I’m not the one who dies—I’m the one who does the killing,” says Castle, who redons the skull insignia of his Punisher vigilante alter-ego.

My thoughts haven’t changed since my post on it yesterday—Jigsaw and his scars still don’t look gruesome enough, considering the shellacking he received at the end of last season, and I’m wary of more revenge and conspiracy storylines. With this being possibly the last Punisher season in light of all of the fallen Netflix-Marvel shows, I’d hope that this set of episodes would leave something good behind.
