Trailer: Damsels in Distress

Damsels in Distress marks the return of director Whit Stillman, after a fourteen year hiatus after his last movie, The Last Days of Disco. Stillman is known for his witty depictions of the American upper class, and has inspired other, younger directors like Wes Anderson and Noah Baumbach.

Damsels in Distress is about a group of college girls who try to help their fellow students at their preppy East Coast school to change the “atmosphere of male barbarism.” Specifically through dancing and musical numbers. I think it looks pretty adorable from the trailer, and it definitely reminds me of a Wes Anderson movie, so that’s something to look forward to.
