Trailer: Moonrise Kingdom

The first trailer for Wes Anderson’s Moonrise Kingdom has arrived, and it looks like another quirky little hoot. One of our most anticipated movies of 2012, the cast is about as colorful and packed as an Anderson tableau: Bill Murray, Bruce Willis, Edward Norton, Frances McDormand, Harvey Keitel, Tilda Swinton, Jason Schwartzman, and Bob Balaban.

While most of the Anderson’s fingerprints are all over this trailer, there is a noticeable absence: Futura. The director’s favorite font has been replaced by cursive, which probably signifies nothing. (Incidentally, the fact I’ve posted about a Wes Anderson movie and an LCD Soundsystem movie in the same day makes me seem like a bad Brooklyn stereotype.)

Moonrise Kingdom opens on May 25th.
