Watch the trailer for the Suicide Squad extended cut, which has more Joker and Harley Quinn

Suicide Squad was mixed at best. Some felt it a decent movie hamstrung by the lack of focus and studio tampering. Some fanboys loved the movie to an ugly/unhealthy degree. And there are others (example: me) who thought it was just a boring piece of s**t with an embarrassing basic bastich soundtrack.

Repeating the formula of Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice, Warner Bros will release an extended cut of Suicide Squad on DVD, Blu-ray, and streaming. There’s a trailer out for this extended cut, which you can watch below while getting a dumb forehead tattoo.

Apart from a few new shots here and there, the movie looks pretty much intact. Using some cursory Google-fu, I found that the extended cut will feature 11 more minutes of footage than the theatrical cut. Given that Suicide Squad has three redundant opening sequences, I can only imagine the 11 extra minutes will involve two redundant middles.

The new footage will likely include more Margot Robbie/Jared Leto scenes with Harley Quinn and The Joker. Robbie was one of the few saving graces of the film, while Leto was pretty extraneous and hammy. The possibility of a Joker-centric Suicide Squad: Dong Cut is unlikely.

The Suicide Squad extended cut hits digital HD on November 15th and Blu-ray on December 13th. What do you think is in those 11 new minutes? Share your ideas in the comments.
