Yesterday Wes Anderson release a video announcing his next movie, a stop-motion feature called Isle of Dogs. The movie will come out some time in 2018, released by Fox Searchlight.
Set in Japan, Isle of Dogs is about a boy’s epic search for a dog. This will likely bring him to an island of dogs. Just a hunch. Andersonian twee will ensue.

Working through Crowdrise, Anderson is holding a contest to benefit the Film Foundation, an organization founded by Martin Scorsese committed to worldwide film preservation. The grand prize winner will win a trip for two to London, a meet-up with Wes Anderson, a small voice role in Isle of Dogs, and one of the puppets used in the film. 75 other winners will receive signed Criterion Collection DVDs and books.
