It’s always interesting to check out a Western by a director who isn’t American. The genre is so ingrained in American culture that seeing it tackled from an outside perspective is always interesting. This one will be Dutch as the trailer illustrates and… well that doesn’t really matter because Mads Millelson is in it and you should see anything with him.
The Salvation got selected for Cannes so that’s saying something and if its classic Western motif of revenge, small towns and bad guy posses doesn’t loop you in than you probably just don’t like Westerns. There’s no release date yet for the film, though at Cannes it’s scooping up distributors so we should have one soon.
