There’s not a single frame of this that didn’t give me a big, goofy grin. That’s pretty much the highest praise possible. Watching this clip from the upcoming Winnie the Pooh just turns me into a little kid again, wearing out my VHS of The Many Adventures of Winnie the Pooh, wishing I had a stuffed bear as awesome as Pooh. The tone is perfect, the animation is amazing, the voice work is all spot on. I can’t see a single thing in this to find fault with, and I’m very protective of my Winnie the Pooh.
Winnie the Pooh comes out July 15th. If it wasn’t the creepiest thing in the universe, I’d bring the little Winnie the Pooh that Jenika made me to the theater. However, a grown man bringing such a thing into a movie theater full of children would have people label me as a child molester, if unintentionally so.
