You’ll have to Shazam Alicia Keys to get Spider-Man 2’s real post-credits tease

For all of you going to see The Amazing Spider-Man 2 this weekend, know two things. First, the mid-credits scene of the film is a commercial for X-Men: Days of Future Past due to hilarious contractual obligations, and second, there is no scene at the end of the credits unless you know the secret way to get it.

Sony, in all of its wisdom, wants you to pull out your smartphone at the end of the movie and Shazam (the music app) an Alicia Keys song in order to get the real tease for the next film. That’s pretty sinister, Sony:

After seeing THE AMAZING SPIDER-MAN 2 – opening on May 2nd – be sure to Shazam the end credit sequence featuring the song “It’s on Again” by Alicia Keys featuring Kendrick Lamar to unlock a look into the sinister future.  Download @Shazam on iTunes or GooglePlay. #SpiderMan

The tease itself is already online (I’m not going to put it here, but it’s out there), but there’s something more notable out there. While Spider-Man may eventually lead to a Sinister Six film, Marc Webb hasn’t nailed down that line up yet. That’s fine since production on it won’t start until January 2015. Plenty of time.
