BoJack Horseman returns September 8th

The last season of BoJack Horseman was by far the best yet. Each season has been good, but BoJack is the kind of show that only gets better as its concepts are explored further, and Season 3 was quite an achievement for this funny, yet depressing show. Well, Season 4 will likely be continuing this upward trend of excellence, and we finally have a release date: September 8th.

This news was announced via the the BoJack Horseman twitter account this morning. Netflix hasn’t released any trailers for the upcoming season, but will likely do so in the near future.

When BoJack Horseman debuted in 2014, many misjudged the show as a crappy cartoon meant to fill the “original programming” quota for Netflix. Hell, people still do. If you’ve ever watched the show however, you know that it’s not what it seems. The existential drive for BoJack to find purpose in Hollywoo drives the show forward, and makes this show stand out amongst other cartoons, and even other Netflix Originals. Every season has become more layered and complex, with new and old characters evolving and interacting with each other in hilariously dark ways. This show has a penchant for being depressing, yes, but the humor has kept that darkness at bay for the time being. If you want a show that will make you laugh and crawl into bed, contemplating your own existence, make sure to check out the new episodes on September 8th.
