It’s been over two years since the debut season of I Think You Should Leave, and since then the world has been blessed with constant meme content and launched a glorious Twitter account that crosses the streams of the show and the NBA. Season one gave us the anxiety of watching a guy choke but refusing to acknowledge it. The late, great Fred Willard going nuts on an American Fotoplayer and tossing dishes during a funeral ceremony. And who could ever forget the Baby of the Year competition, featuring bad boy Bart Harley Jarvis? Sometimes Netflix makes questionable decisions on bringing shows back for a second season, but this isn’t one of those times.
While season two may have taken longer than fans were hoping due to the COVID-19 pandemic, the second season’s release date was recently announced, and now we have the first trailer with more than a few recognizable faces. The guest list this time around boasts some new and returning faces, highlighted by Bob Odenkirk, Brooks Wheelan, Gary Richardson, John Early, Julia Butters, Mike O’Brien, Patti Harrison, Paul Walter Hauser, Sam Richardson, and Tim Heidecker.
While the trailer itself doesn’t give much away for punchline spoiler purposes, it provides enough weirdness to get fans exciting about a show with a slight hot dog obsession. Plus it never hurts if you can get Bob Odenkirk in a wig involved.
I Think You Should Leave returns to Netflix on July 6th.
