After the Credits: Feeling bad after negative reviews

True story: Reviewing movies is not all sunshine and rainbows. Like any job, there are parts of it that really kind of suck. This week, I decided to talk about one that was particularly relevant to my life: feeling bad about telling people they’re bad at things.

I don’t like writing negative reviews. If I had my way, every review I ever wrote would be positive and happy, but that’s not how it works. Movies are bad, and I have to say it like it is. That’s how this works. But it doesn’t mean I don’t sometimes feel bad about that reality. It doesn’t really affect my writing in any meaningful way, so I’m just sort of complaining to complain, but if you were ever wondering if I have emotions and feel things, there you go.
