Help fund Video Games: The Movie documentary

Video Games: The Movie is a documentary by Jeremy Snead that tries to alter current perceptions of videogames. According to Snead, the film takes a look at the past, present and future of the gaming industry and the culture around it (in order to tell the “real” story. While this is a lofty goal for a single film (and the content will be geared toward a broader, mainstream audience), it’s at least a notable one.

The Kickstarter campaign for VGTM is mainly to help cover post-production costs such as editing, licensing archival footage, and graphic touches. The film itself is only partway to its goal, so maybe you should help it if you’re so inclined. The team (Media Juice Studios) behind VGTM wants to get it into the festival circuit as soon as it’s done, so I sort of want to see the documentary itself if they’re that confident in their product. The videogame industry as a whole is a sensitive subject, so best of luck to them.
