Production resumes on Netflix’s Cowboy Bebop

Production of Netflix’s live-action Cowboy Bebop series has resumed after being postponed due to the coronavirus pandemic. After a couple of setbacks with regards to filming, new relegations by New Zealand’s Ministry of Business, Innovation, and Employment have allowed Netflix to get the cast and crew back together to continue filming.

While this is good news for anyone anticipating the series, those same guidelines in New Zealand have shifted the cost of medical care and quarantining onto the staff. With the country having practically defeated COVID-19, though, that shouldn’t end up being expensive for anyone.

Hopefully, the cast and crew remain healthy and are able to do the best possible work they can. Not many fans of the original anime are especially happy that Cowboy Bebop is getting a remake, but I’m willing to give this one a chance. It’s always cool to see different interpretations of things you love, whether or not they end up being faithful or respectful to the source material.
