Take a look at these Total Recall set photos

I’ve never been a big proponent of remakes, certainly not remakes of my favorite films, so you can imagine my trepidation with Len Wiseman’s Total Recall remake. The set photos that have hit the net today aren’t really doing anything to assuage those doubts. These pictures show a dozen or so robot Imperial scout troopers police, as well as a police vehicle that looks an awful lot like like every futuristic movie car I can remember. There’s also a detailed closeup of a pretty awesome looking New Asia passport and a shot of what appears to be some sort of train station. If you’re interested in more details regarding the train station scene in particular and don’t mind some light spoilers, hit the jump. In the meantime, you can checkout all the set photos in the gallery below.

According to Ain’t It Cool’s tipster, the photo below is from a scene in which “a massive spaceship apparently breaks through to the area and a big riot starts in which the New Asians try to overcome the robot police.” I have to admit, as much as I dislike the idea of this remake existing, I am a sucker for robots. The film is supposed to be a more faithful adaptation of of Philip K. Dick’s original story, but with Len Wiseman behind the camera, I can’t really muster much faith in the project.
